Angelika S Butz
I am as fresh as a newborn babe in the woods. Never blogged before in my life. I am 3 years from retirement and wish to live my life the way I want to by painting: Encaustic, Oil, watercolor, Pastels and Pen and Ink; Sketching at Hipbone Studio, Plein Air and everything else I always wanted to do but life interrupted. So it is me and my 2 old kitties and someday a Pit to have as a companion on hikes and to love of course. That is it in a nut shell.

Goose Hollow Saturday 29, 12 sketch crawl
Sat 09/29/12 Goose Hollow sketch crawl. I over slept which made me miss part of the group so after sketching from the Fehrenbacher Hoff with the few remaining crawlers I hiked around the neighborhood and came across this lovely home on 1152 SW King. I did take the liberty of adding lots more fall leave coloring than there was other wise the single fall leave on the Dutch Elm on the left side would have looked a little awkward to me. This huge Elm is one of the few surviving giant trees from the Dutch Elm disease that struck Portland years ago.
